Using Drones for Real Estate
December 13, 2017Benefits of Aerial Real Estate Photography
December 15, 2017Gone are the days when photography was just the art of taking pictures. In recent times, it isn’t just about the production of images or printing of images on materials that are photosensitive or some digital surfaces.
Photography now requires due diligence, proper positioning and a good knowledge of angles for it to be meaningful. As we may well know, photography is of various kinds, and this explains why the requirements also differ.
Taking pictures on a plain and level surface does not require as much effort and technique as when you have to get a proper view of a construction project on a site or a full view of an estate.
A photographer saddled with the responsibility of taking pictures of a building project wouldn’t be expected to risk his life climbing to the roof, would he? Apart from being risky, it is time consuming, expensive (paying for workforce), and a harder way of doing work.
Did you know by just implanting a camera and setting its position on a drone this task can be carried out faster, cheaper, and most importantly safer? It is an understatement to say that using a drone is the perfect solution to aerial photography. In fact, it is the real deal.
Advantages of using drones for aerial photography
We have been discussing aerial photo shoot and how helpful the use of drones is for carrying out such practices. The truth is the advantages of using drones for aerial photography can never be overemphasised. A drone isn’t just that remote controlled toy that tends to fly or cover a few heights when you need it to. It is now a major form of investment. Many companies make huge sums from this device.
We all admire beautiful pictures such as lovely shots from a mountaintop and angled shots of estates or forests. However, it is important to know that these things don’t come easy. Hence, a steady rise in the rate of purchase of drones and an attendant increase in the amount charged by real estate photographers. Installing cameras on drones also help to take advantage of space and lightings which are critical factors that contribute to the beauty of an image.
Another monetary reward for using drones is that it enhances the sale ability of property. Imagine a real estate investor who has put up a house for sale. He would do himself a whole lot of good by taking pictures that would appeal to potential buyers. Such images must cover every nook and cranny of the house, even the most inconspicuous spots and this can only be achieved with a quality camera installed on a drone which is controlled with a remote to cover all the areas required.
There are however a few shortcomings about drones and the predominant one is that no matter how high they fly, they usually aren’t able to cover areas such as interiors of places that are not too spacious or buildings shrouded by tall trees.
